Reconciling the divide between the creative and the scholarly at Queen’s University
Founded by the 2020-2021 Queen’s English Department Student Council, Quilt aims to feature interesting and thought-provoking writing from undergraduate students at Queen’s University. Quilt, the publication’s title, is derived from our aim to interweave diverse and interdisciplinary student voices and foster a space for the scholarly and creative to sit in conversation with each other. We strive to create an opportunity for authors and artists to see their hard work published and read, while also helping undergraduate students develop hard and soft skills through the publication process.
OUR TEAMS
Logistics
Runs our social media, public relations, publishing platforms, & plans public events.
Design
Dedicated to aesthetic choices and assembly of the issue, including page layouts, typography, and illustrations.
Editorial Board
Selects the submissions to be published based on the literary quality of the work and its alignment with the thematic objectives of the issue.
